I bought this one in a bit of a state and with a bit of a bow in the neck.\u00a0 It also had stickers on, a few bare patches and some strange wear on the head stock which may have been a storage problem.<\/p>\n

First step was to take off the extra heavy strings, which may have caused the bow, carefully remove the stickers, check the parts are all original and let it acclimatise for a while.<\/p>\n

After resting quite a while it was time to adjust the neck and sort out the frets.<\/p>\n

Time to do something about the bare wood.\u00a0 I like to leave my guitars so that the look is used or ‘reliced’, or maybe I can’t be arsed to paint it, anyway I can’t leave the wood like it is so some careful sanding and then I have used wood preservative and sealer.<\/p>\n

After a bit of a polish and one last check on the neck it’s time to string it. (Ernie Ball Super Slinky)\u00a0 9, 11, 16, 24, 32 and 42 gauge.<\/p>\n

Now adjusting the bridge for the intonation<\/p>\n

All done and needs to rest a while and then play it.<\/p>\n
