Moving way on from the Telecoustic, this model has 3 pickups, a Fishman Under-Saddle Transducer, a Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer and a Fender Acoustasonic Noiseless™ magnetic pickup plus a “Mode Knob” which gives ten different body style and tone wood combinations.
This is a 2018 “Limited Edition” model which retails at approximately £1500 and apart from the crap name, consists of Telecaster Custom Shop pickups, a Telecaster bridge and a Jazzmaster style neck. This “Lefties only” model (Lefties must like a colourful axe) is part of the Steve Vai 30th anniversary issue. The HSH pickup layout has an interesting switch system. Love to try it but I’m right handed. Could be a new project.

Seen at the Guitar Show in Birmingham yesterday this new MIM version based on the classic Mustang “Offset” shape expands the range. Retailing in the UK at around £490 for the single coil MP90 pickups with the more conventional single coil model a little cheaper.
First introduced in the 1950’s this guitar came with a much shorter scale (22.5″) aimed perhaps at the younger player or people with smaller hands. The body style, known as “Fender Offset” is similar to the Mustang.
